Boldness Rules! (August 2006)

Several  years ago, I was walking into the Spectrum Club in Manhattan Beach one Thursday night getting ready to teach my yoga class. The next thing I knew, my body walked into the office of the General Manager and I said: "I decided that I should be the model for your club.".  She said: "Fine. Just go ahead and get the photographer and set everything up and you can do it.".

I almost fainted.

You see, A. I had not planned to talk to her about this B. I had never even thought about doing this. I just love this stuff!!!! This is my absolute favorite way of acting: Act first, think second.  But as I said, the funniest part of the story is that I'd never even thought about doing this!!!! I have a way of saying: "My spirit guides made me do it" and I'm beginning to think this is true. I then had the enviable task of locating one of the top photographers in Hollywood, having the best shoot of my life, becoming his muse and having many, many more photo experiences with him after this.
 
Now a few years later, I'm sitting on the couch probably reading STAR magazine or something along those lines, and "the voice" says: "Go to the Toyota dealership  and test drive a new Camry." I thought: "Why? I'm not interested in buying a new car nor do I need one!". The voice says: "Go!". So I think, OK, OK, I'll go but I'll just go up the street to the dealer on Hawthorne Blvd. "The voice" says "NO!!! Go to the dealer on Pacific Coast Highway!". I'm thinking, boy you are so PICKY!!!! OK OK OK I'll go!!!
 
So it's now about 3 or 4PM and I march over to the dealer, pick out a car, test drive it and ask the general manager of the dealership for the dealer's invoice. (I used to sell cars!). So he hands it to me and says: "I will take $1000 off the dealer's invoice and there is a rebate from Toyota for another $1000. I'm thinking: "Wow, this is unbelievable.". So I say one of my favorite lines when looking at Toyotas: "Ill have to call my lawyer at Toyota and get back to you", which was actually true. To make a long story short, I ended up receiving another $1000 from Toyota Motor Company and waltzed out of that dealership with a brand new car at $3000 below dealer invoice , and it wasn't even 6PM! (It turns out that their brand new models were arriving on the lot the next day and they really needed to get rid of the current cars right then!
Whew.)
 
So I'm telling you these wonderful stories to illustrate my great passion for INSPIRED ACTION, the opposite of which you will rarely see me take!! I absolutely LOVE having these strange feelings and rushing to manifest the most unbelievable things!!!
