Casual Conversation (May 2007)

It is so frequent that I tell my students: "Be careful of your casual conversation!". This generally implies the chatting they do with their friends. It's at that time that the emotions are the highest and believe me, the Universe is always listening and responding! So we can harp away on our treatments, day and night, but if we get down with our friends and spend a lot of emotional energy venting negative feelings, we are "giving The Law mixed messages", as my beloved Science of Mind teacher Janet Levy used to say. So it's imperative that our casual conversation is most of the time in alignment with our highest hopes and dreams.

But another aspect of this, which I thoroughly enjoy and practice constantly, is doing "treatment" in my casual conversation with others. If I counted, maybe I would do this 5 or more times a day. You just never know how your words are being accepted by strangers and causing amazing positive change in their lives.

Today I had the most amazing example of this.

About a month ago I went to get a new safe deposit box at my bank. When the lady came with the new key, I said something like "Well that's a good number!". So she asked me if I would tell her a little about numerology. I am certainly no expert, but I use anything at all, to spread some cheer, so I asked her the date of her birth. After receiving it, I was very emphatic that hers was an excellent number and she should be extremely happy and rich!. I may have said: "I see money all around you." And she said: "Yeah, I work in a bank!". Duh. Well I didn't stop and I said: "Now, I'm sure I'm right. This is a very happy life for you and you shall be rich!" (Don't ask me, where I get these ideas, but I did see evidence of this in the numbers.) She said that it had not been happy so far, but I reassured her that the tide had now turned in her favor and riches were on the horizon.

I segue by saying that this beloved teacher Janet Levy, whom I reference all the time, used to say to me: "Joni you cannot be wishy washy in your treatment! You speak too softly. You must speak with power and conviction!" This always stuck in my mind and anyone who knows me, knows that I may joke and holler and laugh but when it comes to Science of Mind, I'm a bulldozer!

Well I forgot about this exchange with the lady at the bank, as I have so many similar ones.

Fast forward about a month.

I go back to my safe deposit. She is glowing. She comes up to me and says: "Joni, remember the day you told me how great things were going to be for me? Well out of the blue, I heard that my husband who had never paid child support in 15 years, had his assets frozen! This could be very good for me!!". Holy Smoke!!!!! I did not hesitate in showing my glee and telling her there were no coulds about it, this would benefit her vastly and her happiness was assured!

So friends do not hesitate to spread your good words with conviction for yourself and others, everywhere you go. The Universe is constantly listening and your cheery attitude could really turn the tide for friends and strangers.
 
Affirm often:
I think positive; I walk positive; I talk positive and I am positive!
