Memo from God (February 2007)

You may have read this story on the internet. Here is how it came to me.
I’ve been working with a private client who had so much anxiety that she could no longer leave the house. As always, I assumed that with God’s help very quickly she would be healed and on the road to recovery. So after about 5 or so sessions, she told me that she no longer liked her fairly new car, and decided to go to a dealership and buy a new car! (I had just done that the week before and even being on an even keel, it nearly threw me off!). Anyhow this brave gal went out and while there a man came up to her and asked her if she believed in God! She said yes and he took her hands in his and read her this story. He gave it to her two copies of it and she gave me one.

Now coincidentally, we have God Cans in all our classes which the students use religiously. Here is the story as it was given to me:

Memo from God

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is place into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

Affirm often: I let go and let God!
