I’m Thirty, Tall and Thin (July 2006)

OK, it’s July and this is a fun newsletter with I hope a lot of fun parts!

A few months ago, I was teaching my workshop in Century City and while speaking with a very advanced student, it came to my attention that I would attract 5 very big, very wonderful commercials by creating an online portfolio and not needing to go on auditions. I felt a chill as I heard her say this and knew IT WAS DONE ACCORDING TO MY BELIEF. 

Now I swear what I’m going to tell you is true:

The next day I was wine tasting in Santa Ynez, when I get a voice mail message: “Hi Joni, this is Glen Lipton, photographer, and I want to get in touch with you, etc.” I have absolutely no idea who this is, thinking perhaps my celebrity hairstylist client or make-up artist had sent him to me. Upon returning the call, he said: “I met you about 15 or 20 years ago. I never shot you but I woke up today thinking: I’ve got to get hold of Joni Consroe and tell her that I want to do a photo shoot of her, help her build an online portfolio. She can then attract some commercials and not need to go on auditions!” I SWEAR TO GOD EVERY WORD IN THIS IS TRUE!!!!!!!! I almost fell on the ground. Even I can’t believe some of this stuff. In true Joni form, I said: “That’s great but I’m so busy living my dream life that I can’t do this for about two months!”

Anyhow, I’m all over the globe and on the divine and appointed day, this wonderful gentleman shows up with his portfolios. He has shot every single major celebrity in the world and off we go on the most amazing photo shoot ever!!

The most exciting parts to me are: I had “treated” this a zillion times about 15-20 years ago, but I was way too attached and blocked the flow. The Universe is recording and responding to our every emotion and it heard me and heard me big! It took me some time to get real detached! And the fact that now I created the success of  this vibrationally as I do everything else. Years ago, I would have tortured myself to look a certain way. I thought: “There’s nothing to do. I’m thirty, tall and thin!” We had the most wonderful time! My friend and client Beven Sangi, did my make-up, styled me and provided the gorgeous location and sure enough, these turned out to be some of the best pictures I’ve ever taken in my life!!! Someone noticing how perfect they looked, as if they were airbrushed! What a compliment!!!!

So whatever confronts you, see how far you can stretch your vibrational muscles! See how many things you can do with your mind and emotions rather than applying brute force. And see what glorious miracles prevail.
